Gas assist strut removal ??

I am getting ready to retrofit a TnT system to 70hp Evinrude. I removed the frozen tilt pin with propane torch and 5lb hammer. Removed all the bolts from the lower strut. But the SS pin holding the upper section of the strut is not budging. I have been heating the area w/ torch and cooling the pin with an ice cube. Then pounding it with the hammer and short steel rod. Lots of pentrating oil but NADA!
Any suggestions for pin removal

You should be able to impact gun the nut right off over the pin, it will prob. ruin the nut though. Then you may be able to pound the pin out and replace the nut.

No nut, just a pin through the holes. I am going to drill out both sides of the pin through the motor bracket, to drop out the gas strut.
I hate heavy surgery :af:
