I'm stumped
For the past 3 hours I have been trying to replace the little rubber bail bumper on my old green 704 penn. Now it looks simple enough, theres a hole in the housing and you slide the rubber shaft through the hole. Sounds wasy right??? The problem I'm having is that the rubber is wider than the hole:smash: I've tried warm soapy water, I've tried wrapping thin mono around the rubber and then pulling the mono through the hole....
Whats the secret???:smash: |
Screw the bail and covert it.
Otherwise get a razor blade and take a small slice out of it just so it will fit in the hole, then push in in with something (ie. a punch) |
Well theres a thought. Maybe I should axe the bail.. Then there would be one less thing to worry about.
I'll try the razor blade trick and if it fails I'll order the conversion kit- Thanks tattoo:D: |
you prolly did it
already.... but what about putting the rubber washer in the freezer to shrink it...
