What blank and how-- human error or manufacturing defect???? Just curious

tlapinski 05-06-2004 06:20 PM

batson 1089 on a cast with a 2.75 ounce pencil popper. i inspected the blank and didn't find any nicks. it just exploded on the cast. there are now 3 pieces. i doubt it was human error. this is the 3rd batson in a year to break like this. it isn't a matter of being built wrong as none of the other 10 or so blanks built the same way have broke. just glad it wasn't mine.

Wow, thats weird, I was lobbing monster herring with my 1208 tonight and hooking up to several decent bass and didn't have a problem. I wonder what caused that?

i told him to just wrap the two breaks and put a LOT of epoxy on it and it will be as good as new! :laughs:
