Drill Bits Etc.

I've lurked on this forum for awhile--got tempted--and went out and tag saled, flea marketed, and otherwise low balled the big stuff(lathe, drill press, belt sander).
But now I'm faced with spending some real money on the "small stuff".
I'll be making plugs from4"---10".
What sizes of brad point and Forstner bits should I buy????
Thanks for any help :)

Brad point, I use mostly 1/8" for through wires. For weights and belly swivels 5/16, but you can get by with good sharp regular bits.Forstner, get bits the size of the eyes you plan on using 3/8 or 1/2".. That should get you started.

Striper 77, you said you would be turning 4 to 10 in lures so you will want some different lenght bits.Try wood workers supply on line as you may have trouble finding the sizes o brad points you want. Also do a search on drilling as there are some great posts here on how to do it with a lathe or drill press.
Hope this helps.:)
