Little league deep sea trip
My son called me tonight and said that his team is going on a trip With Capt. John's out of Plymouth next month. Turns out that one his teamates is the grandson of Captain John.
Gotta give a thumbs up for doing something nice for the kids :btu: |
They have a decent operatrion there, and yes, nice thing to do by Capt Johns. Doesn't hurt to get kids intersted in the party boat thing too...
|
yeah, but just make sure they don't get sick on the boat. CAL, are they going in for free?

I think the kids are free and I get on for a discount price of like $10 instead of the usual $25 or so, just due to the price of gas these days. Still a bargain :)
Don't think getting seasick is going to be a problem on a boat that size. They're having prizes for first fish caught, biggest fish etc. Should be a fun time for the team. |
We took the MSBA juniors out codding today, weather was not the greatest, but they had a good time. We took a smaller boat so there was only our group on it. (about 30+ with adults)
Saw a whale, some mackeral, good number of small cod. and one HUGE wolf fish...Kids got a real kick out of that mean looking beast, (almost 20 lbs.)..... Only had one kid turn green and the seas were 4-5 for a while... |
Funny you should say that Van....I had a green kid on a cod charter boat this afternoon.:yak: He is feeling much better now though.:D
|
I'm doing the same for my son's cub scout den. I'm taking them out on the Yankee fleet in june. They gave me 50% off on both Kids and adults which I thought was pretty cool...They should have a blast.
One of the only times I actually hope we get a couple of dogfish. To a bunch of 10 year olds they're Sharks |
hehe, tdf
