Springtime at the Canal: Banker's Hours

My first '04 foray to the Ditch was at about noon today ( I like west tides at a couple of spots this time of year). It was a successful one, and I got to entertain a small crowd of Canal strollers by jigging up a few decent bass, largest Striped One being about 14 lbs. Have to admit, it felt good. Guess being a Ham is not beyond me..

That's a May/early June bonus: migrating fish often fall to the daytime angler. Nice to fish the Ditch on a balmy DAY.

I'd say Canal action is ramping up nicely....

I may be wandering around down there tomorrow morning if it's not pouring or lightening in the sky......
