I also saw the post, and there were some questionable words used in the post. Someone was offended, and the post was repoorted to the moderastors. We are all adults lets just keep it clean. Everyone seems to forget that these boards are read by many more people than just the members here. There is no need to make us look like ignorant neanderthals. They hate us enough as it is.

We all may not be happy with it, but the law is the law.

Besides this is a fishing board, even though this area is pretty lenient. Lets just end it here enough said.

Its an issue like any other BP.....this is America, freedom of speech and all of that! People have opinions and that is what Scuppers is for. Besides, it was a harmless thread that was posted and began to deteriorate. My only comment in regards to this is that we do not need to use threads as a place to throw out "slurs" and hateful comments that may be found offensive and hurtful.;)

It wasn't an issue brought up by me, I posted a reply and gave my opinion! Like it or not !!! I have NO problem giving my opinion on this topic!!!
Besides, How is it any different from other topics that have been posted in Scuppers
- A guy celibrating the fact that he reciently got divorced ?
- post talking about car repairs ?
- Post about making career changes ?
- Post aboout rising gas prices ?

Guys, I guess what we're trying to do here is be less of a free for all and more of a fishing site. We're drifting away from what we started to do - talk fishing.

Apparently some people did take offense to the post an forwarded it to us to look at, I edited it, and put it back. Ron, I'm not picking on you or throwing you under the bus, but I think you'll agree that you could have said the same thing in another way.

I'm not one for doing the whole P.C. crap but there are things that are appropriate and inappropiate. When that happens, they'll likely be pulled or edited.

This is a semi-public FISHING board, it's not the New York times or standing on a pillar at the State House. "Freedom of Speech" is encouraged but so is saying things in a PG-13 manner. We DO have kids that come here and we DO have some that browse the boards without posting. This is a PUBLIC accessible board in that most anyone can read it.

This site also needs to have less bashing of other members, and more friekin cumbaya than we've displayed all winter. It doesn't make it fun anymore to see people slamming people for the sake of slamming people.

I love you guys......:buds: I love everyone...seriously....:uhuh:can't we all just......fish along? ;)
