Eelman's eeling gear
 

A guy over at the old board is inquiring on the ultimate eeling rod. I figured if anyone would know what the ultimate eeling rod is, it would be #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&. I told the guy I would ask you guys. I think I remember him saying he uses a Sabre 1088 but I want to be sure.

He uses the orginal plum colored Sabre 1088 - a few ticks beefier than the current 1088, that blank is no longer available ( I managed to get one of the last ones though :P )... The current 1088 Baston / Sabre is a good eeling stick - maybe the best bang for the buck. You can always spend more and get into the $$ of Loomis and the very new St Croix blanks...
