interesting observation
A couple of nights ago I was fishing with a friend at a spot where there were a lot of low teen- mid teen bass hanging in the tide eating herring. I told him "look its after dark, you gotta use a large black plug.. You got one?" He said "no, but I have a reflective silver broken back bomber"... So I tied on a black broken back bomber and we began to fish.
Believe it or not, while I landed more fish than him, he had about 5 times more hits than me. If he were more experienced and better at hook-setting, He would have totally out fished me. This totally had me baffled, but then I thought about the moon, and because it was shining pretty bright, and it was a clear night, it would make sense that the reflective bomber would attract more fish.. So the moral of the story is this.. sometimes Black at night isn't always the rule. Can you guess what plug I went out and bought yesterday?:D |
Dark plugs during the new moon period Eben.....light colored plugs when the moon is bright!;)

Funny, with a full moon brightness, you can actually hook up with fish on ... tins .... at night. Poppers too. :hihi:
|
Fish will hit poppers when its bright when its dark when its misty when its poopy when its glassy when its whatever
poppers = crack if there's fish |
