Some guy out here trolled up a 13# fluke on a
parachute jig this weekend while fishing for bass....oooh, I hope the real big fluke return this year....That would make a heck of a fillet eh?
Couple of years ago my friend caught a 9# fluke drifting live scup.
My dad caught a 14# about 15 years ago that thing was huge
I got them on tube and worm rigs at the mouth of CT River last year many times!
wow I'ld like to see a pic of that
We got a 8 pounder on a parachute off Lucas this weekend. Never seen a fluke caught wire lining before. Let alone, a large fluke. Sure was tasty though.
Caught some nice big ones last season on live scup!!
I hope the big ones stay around!! Thursday starts comercial season and the dragers will be off Laucs :( |
got a 17 * years back...3'long,,31/2" thick.
17# no sh&%?!? That is a monster..I would get the same thrill from that as a 60# bass. I know many other's wouldn't but I would.
The biggest I have had is 12 and that was a loooong time ago. Last year we had a couple in the 9 range and I was very happy. And many respectable 5+ fish. I hope to have the family out their next weekend look for a nice slab. |
it was indeed a nice catch after nothing but dogfish all day,,won the state contest that year, silver cup, badge's etc...was even in the fisherman.
Took a 4+lb 23" fluke at 930 the other night on a whole squid and 7/0 cirlce while bassin...
One of the 6 or so times I have taken fluke at night... dont tell me they dont eat at night :smash: Of course having NO Filet knife.. I threw her back :af: |
