Advice

I picked up a couple of older Penn reels this weekend. The first is a Long Beach bait caster 259 and the other is a Senator 2/0. Both are in excellent working condition and have been very well maintained. My question is what would the best use for these reels be? I have always used spinning reels but the price for these was right so I couldn't walk away without buying them! Would they be best suited for a boat or could I use them on a beach? What rods should I match them up with? I know... newbie question, but any help would be appreciated! Thanks
:D

If I'm not mistaken, you could use the Senator for chunking or wireline trolling off the boat.

They are both really boat reels. The 2/0 senator is a workhorse, I'm still fishing one that's at least 30 years old.
