Virus
 

I've been having a few problems lately with my pc...Runs slow at times and can't load some of my usual web pages. I ran Norton anti-virus and it says I have Downloader.MSCache virus. It also says that it can't repair or remove it. What the hell good is virus protection if it can't fix a virus? What can I do?

I am no expert but I have had virsuses before that I could not get rid of. I did a system restore and computer is back to new but you must backup any files you don't want to lose on a disk.

I make sure everything is scanned before it is opened and I always make sure my AV is on and up to date... that trojan you have is 6+ months old.... not every AV removes the virus let alone fixes them chaos it has caused....

I personally dislike Norton products aimed at the home consumer....

Norton has a manual fix posted on their website to remove that trojan... http://securityresponse.symantec.com...r.mscache.html
