pass police at sachurest pt
 

I fished Sachuest Point last night with Tattoo and Tim .There wasn't much fish action but the park police came around checking for night fishing passes.It seems the park people didn't get new passes for this year and just crossed out 2003 and wrote 2004 in (at least that's what they did with mine). When I told this to the officer . he looked like someone ran over his dog. They knew nothing about this ,so they went away and told me to check with the park ranger on Monday about new passes.WhatEVer..I paid my $20 and I'm fishin there! :mad:

Yeah, the pass thing at Sachuest :mad: - hey, it's a federally enforced saltwater fishing license - it's either $20.00 or ya can't go on the rocks to fish, don't have anything to do with a parking sticker. They oughta make it free at night and charge during the day, I think - that would take care of the scup crowd and eliminate the litter, which is real GD bad. And print warning signs in four language about the rules.

Funny, I was just talking to Peter W. about that this afternoon after seeing him at Bobby's - it really sucks - but unfortunately it's a Fed issue, not state or town.

At least they could give ya a pass with the right goddam year on it for your $20 bill, don't ya think.

I was down there with my girl last Sat.Couldn't get a pass without making an appointment.

So how am I supposed to get a pass?

"Well they are there 11-2, or call for an appointment"

"I don't know, maybe you can mail them a check"

just lost a spot till Sept. because of security (ok so it's a private place and I dont want to buy a pass) but from 2-5a, who really gives a rats @ss
