:D
Got the same problem myself.

I lost a needle that looked just like that this weekend ;)

I got a messenger bag (waterproof) that i've been working on converting over to a surf bag (more room/waist strap... nice setup)

Just need to start filling it with tubes :D

I dont have that problem with my bag. I got 3 needles in it, 2 8" and a 9". What kind of bag is that, mine is a BW, cheap and fits a ton of plugs.

Mr. Sandman 06-21-2004 02:25 PM

that is the nose of a 12" habs needle. Not too many bags can handle that size. The bag is a large surfcaster, it handles most everthing but this one is loooong.

get yourself a tennis ball can and rig it so that it can be strapped to your bag. You will have to figure out a way to keep the lid from popping off in the surf though.

sandman, is that a needle in your bag or are you just happy to see us?!?:laughs:

Haven't tried an Aquaskinz bag on for size yet, but I can tell you that the largest Canyon bag (the 21 insert jumbo) can fit a 9" long 3-1/2 oz Gibbs pencil with ease, in the last row of the inserts.

The problem with my surf bag is that it doesn't have any Habs Needles in it.:crying:

Anyone know where to find them?

theSURF121 06-21-2004 03:21 PM

Coastal made a surf bag that fits 13" Pikies. Problem is , the guys who have them won't part with them .I know I won't:D .

JohnR 06-21-2004 04:49 PM

Send me your plugs and I'll see what I can do

rob-s 06-22-2004 09:31 AM

lay it flat across on thetop of the tubes, the hooks and flap will keep it from getting lost. plus you get another plug in the tube.
i got the same bag and find with loading it with big wood
i never use the plugs in the small front squares as they are to light for the wt of the rod it takes to throw the large plugs.
i thought mabe put another medium tube in front but then i dont think the velcro flap would be long enouph
