Pollack for bait?

I caught a bunch of pollack in the canal the other day. Is it legal to live line em, and is it effective? I would think the bass would love em. I didnt even know what they were till i released a couple bout 14 inches. Most were in the 8-10 inch range. A fella took home a mess of em so i assume there isnt a size limit on em. I caught them on a red gill, fun fish to catch.

sure, liveline them. no size lmitation. last i heard that pollack tasted like craps. dont use a 1 lbs pollack. it is too big. 8-10 inches is enough. i even caught a goosefish on a live pollack. a freaking 3 lbs goosefish.

If they are still down there this week, i will give it a shot. Ive caught a ton of schoolies down there so far this year, biggest was 27.5, no keepers yet, maybe that will change my luck.

i dont even like using a pollack. i havent caught a bass on the canal. i want to give it another try soon.
