southside cape fishing 6/29/04

i was fishign with a buddy of mine today. we were trolling to no avail on our rangers. then i decided to switch to the plastic and used specalist's bass assassin albino trout imiation since it was a cloudy day and fisherwoman told me to use a chartuse (but it was green on the top). however, i casted it out and twitched it a couple of time and retrieved it at a moderate to slightly fast speed and discovered that my plastic bait was cut in half! i knew there were blues around. then i used my deadly #^&#^&#^&#^& and caught my first blues on the rod and reel that bud8fan sold to me. man, that rod handles a fish well. it was awesome feelin of using a light tackle. plastic baits ruled all day until my pal start jigging up for fluke. we drove down and i caught a man catching flukes. then we begin fishing for flukes. i used a searobin and filleted it and used it to catch my first legal keeper fluke. i almost caught a huge fluke but i lost it for a several hits. then i used a dead bluefish and make a strips outta it and used them on flukes. guess what? it worked! i have four legal keeper flukes and filelted them at home. and i saved some bellies for canal jigging and fluking.

peace out.
