42" fish big and fat
 
What a nice fish but had no camera or scale can someone guesstamate this by the size and length on how much that size fish would weigh my estimate was 30#

i caught two 42" fish three days apart from each other. one fish weighed just under 27lbs (fat) and the other weighed 23.5 lbs (skinny)

if yours was fat it probably weighed 24-27lbs.

I'll give it to you - took a 42" fish this weekend that weighed @ 31#.

Could be as low as 22pounds and as high as 35 pounds. Need a pic to see the gut! I don't see a picture. Sometimes with a picture you can estimate better.

The shortest 30 I ever kept and weighed was 43". But a fat 42" could run 30. I'll give you 28 as a minimum. This one was 30 on the nose and 44"---on the thin side
