Bib Pants
 

Anyone know where to get a pair of Bib Pants in Rhody? I was looking online but I would like to try on.

Wilcox marine supply down in Point Judith. IMM in Wakefield. Trawl Works behind the mobile station on Point Judith road. And I'm sure West Marine has some. I like Grundens, some guys like Guy Cotten, while others like the Helly Hansons.

You might try Team One in Newport. They are right next to the Saltwater Edge, you could make the trip a 2fer.

Team One is fine if you're looking for Henri Lloyd sailing foul weather bibs for several hundreds of dollars :rolleyes: - but I don't know what you plan to spend either.

What goosefish said - hit Wilcox for Grundens or Hellys.

grundens cofish... tough as nails! have had mine for years. try a commerical fishermans supply store.

Those grundens/cofish bib pants coupled with short boots are the best way to fish the rhody rocks when you are not wading...
You can't kill them...I've had my bib pants for 10yrs

I'm looking for a short boot with a flat bottom that I can glue a studded Korker felt onto...that would be sweet.

Joe, I used an old pair of boot foot - waders that were no good. I cut the waders, just above the boot and removed the boots. I then re-glued studded felts. Most of the time the waders go but the boots are okay. I now use them with bib pants

Thats a good idea...I got a simalar pm too...
I don't think waders were designed for sliding down rocks on your arse or for taking the big steps you need to take when cliff fishing.....

I think Salks Hardware and Marine on West Shore Rd in Warwick has the Grundins.

Grundens has differend grades...."Hurricanes" are the best for what fishers do...the "esxtreme" are overkill as they are made for commercail fishing Alaska and too expensive...go with the "Hurricanes"...avoid the "Briggs" as they will tear on the rocks
