Slowwww Day In The Bay.......
FISHED CCBAY yesterday with the wife and found it to be slow. Billingsgate was dead and I mean dead. NO ONE CAUGHT ANYTHING that I could see. The fingers was really crowded with boats at the north edge but not alot of cathching going on. I ended up on the flats and caught some schoolplugs and one keeper for the grill. I saw some bigger fish on the flats in 65 degree water at 10am, enough to keep me casting til 1pm. I would caution anyone going to the fingers that the chase em crowd was way way out there this time. You might do alot better checking the flats first as the fish I saw were all in the mid 30inch range and there were alot of them. I was surprised to see so many in skinny water for that time of day. As far as where on the flats... hahaha not this time.............

I hope it picks up,
I'm going down for some days next week  Raider Ronnie |
Really slow fishing?
Not a damn thing around:D |
Too many boats, too much fireworks, too many idiots on the water.
Fishes get scared. Give them a few days to get back their wits. :) |
july is starting to boil. might as well to start surfcast for fluke, bluefish, scups, and black sea bass.
|
Notaro, I usually get my biggest bass of year in July-Aug. Don't believe the hype
|
my buddy just got back and he said b-gate was quiet but he was marking fish 40/80 and getting them hardlinining w bunker spoons
|
orlando, i caught a lot of blues in july and august from the shore. so you must have fished at night, right? alright...
|
Night time is the right time for jumbo eels and heavy sluggos
