I have been scoping out potential surf fishing spots from the boat...then figuring how to get there...After loooongs walks around private property and talking to lots of old timers....I think I found a sweet hole...Hope to go back tonight to see.

When I got there this afternoon (without my rod)...the bait and fish were in tight to the beach...go figures.( I usually scope places on several different tides, this is a photo I took this afternoon near low)

look good or what?

Last fall Throwing Timber and I found one hell of a fall honey hole.... never saw anyone fish there before then...

good luck with it sandman... hope the fish are there tonight for you:D

I know that spot Sandman, it's good drifting in the boat too :D

bassmaster 07-05-2004 05:30 PM

you gave it away on that one.
do the charter Guys still go in tight off the points?

Mr. Sandman 07-05-2004 05:52 PM

I wasn't going to post that last one but I figured I could blank out a few of the key features.

It looks different from the shore then by boat.

Yes, from a boat, I have cast eels almost on the beach, you can get pretty tight...as long as it is not rough. I have been dying to try this from the shore for the last few years but never got around from doing the legwork.

bassmaster 07-05-2004 05:55 PM

have the funny fish been in there in aug and sept ?

UserRemoved1 07-05-2004 05:57 PM

lol I figured it out when I seen the green water......I've had numerous days where it's a fish on every cast at that spot Jim....I bet you'd have a blast on foot too...long walk though....

Mr. Sandman 07-05-2004 05:57 PM

There not so funny when you can't catch them.;)

UserRemoved1 07-05-2004 06:00 PM

I was in that exact spot about 3 weeks ago and the bait pods were so thick you could almost stand on them....
