Want to give them a try for stripers off BI.....have never fished sand eels before....can anyone give me guidance as to technique, rigging, etc? Thanks.

2 or 3 ft of fluro leader with a wide gap kahl hook 5/0, octopus 2-4/0 and a 1 oz or 3 oz egg sinker. cast and retrieve or leave it out there. use large sand eels. the longer and a little fat, the better chance you catch. you might even attract the fluke of BI... i dont fish of BI, but I have used sand eels before. If you want to target fluke, use the red beads and place the egg sinker in between them on your running line.

Place the hook through the head to its throat. If fishing for fluke, use a double hook set up (not hi-lo) gami octopus 5/0-7/0. i caught them on it.

Put two sand eels on each hook. Be on the bottom.
