ishing at high tide!?

i was going to go fishing around 4 oclock today till dark.
High tide is around 1. Is this a bad idea>? Will their be any fish or will the water be to low for shore fishing?

it is fine to fish at the high tide. at 1 pm, thats the incoming. after that....like 4 pm, it get slows. but you gotta try it ill you catch it or to no avail and scream in the agony of being skunked. just kidding. try it. use your methods as you want.

You'll never know if there's fish around unles syou go out there and throw some casts! Every spot is different in terms of tides, times, etc

Notaro 07-07-2004 11:25 AM

exactly. i went out after the high tide, i got a few bumps and a schoolie, and so or that. you will never know unless you try, chowdad. try it. every trip is worthwhile skunked or not.

In the summer you are better off going at dawn or dusk or the middle of the night. Daytime fishing in the summer for bass your odds are not too good.

Hit the 1am high instead, will probably be more productive

beachwalker 07-07-2004 11:39 AM

all depends on the spot.

how deep ? what are you showing them ?

Best of luck :)
