THESE ARE FUN, SO HERE GOES I DONNO THE WT. BUT U CAN KINDA SEE THE TAPE SOOOO ......................NOBODY AROUND TO SNAP A QUIK PIC SUX. CANAL FISH ......GOT EEL ?

beamie 07-12-2004 08:38 AM

Hard to say. Crappy angle and can't read the tape. From this angle looks like a Racer though, not much girth. I'll take me guess at 23#.

Clammer 07-12-2004 08:45 AM

like beamie said its a racer & can,t read the tape ,but it doesn,t matter =nice fish :kewl:

jsullivan 07-12-2004 08:52 AM

tape is 49

fishsmith 07-12-2004 09:09 AM

35lbs

You'd have a more accurate measurement if the tape was under the fish ;) The curve of the fish is adding a couple of inches. That's why you have to measure under the fish if it's a borderline keeper.

So, figure it's 46-47". As thin as it is, probably mid 30 pound range.

Nebe 07-12-2004 09:30 AM

27 lbs:D

jsullivan 07-12-2004 09:30 AM

I need one that has actually eaten something besides what I caught it on in the last 3 mo. the heads on these fish are beyond large but there all as skinny as a supermodel i need a porkey guy the tape is just a tiebreaker in case the guys have a fight over who buys the first round a ZACHARY'S;) ;)

MikeP has the right idea :)
Best guess for me right around 34 pounds

Slingah 07-12-2004 06:25 PM

I've caught a bunch of racers like that and my guess would be...........31#

Clammer 07-12-2004 11:39 PM

Eben ==27# :smash:

leptar 07-13-2004 07:12 AM

Just got back from early morning outing.....

got 1 that was 50" measured like that and 45-3/4" measured the right way...

It weighted 35 even...

lots of nice fish all over the place... guy to my right was slinging eels and took a fat cow that could have fit mine in it's stomach...

most of the fish taken looked like they were on a the atkins or something like that... my fish fought hard while the other guy just reeled his to shore like dead weight...

his fish also bottomed the 50#scale.

id say your fish is between 31 and 35..

RIROCKHOUND 07-13-2004 07:29 AM

Damn nice morning leptar.... nice fish, especially the guy on your right....!!

RI Popper 07-13-2004 07:39 AM

Hi J. Looks like a 30+ pound fish to me. Nice catch even if they are critical of you they still love you;) Keep those fish coming. Good job.

jsullivan 07-13-2004 08:25 AM
