Goosbury Island

Has anyone used the ramp at Goosebury Island? I have a 16' aluminum boat I would like to launch there.

Always use the Westport River ramp but want to try some different spots. Thinking of heading to the cut at Allens Ponds for the dropping tide.

What are the pro's and con's?

Thanks.

Seemed like gates were always open last year. I've been in the area a few times this year early and gates were closed?? Not sure why.....

Jeff that ramp isn't to bad. Don't back up to far, because there is a drop at the end. There are a few rocks around so be careful till you get about 100 yards out. I fished the drop at Allens a couple of weeks ago. Seemed slow, try around Black rocks and Old Skunk too. There use to be a ton of Fluke right off the beach at Goosebury along the causeway. east side. Good luck
