Got a 37in fish on my 2nd cast and thought it might be on. Then nada for about 1hr. Finally put a giant eel on and had a monster hit. Set on the fish and came up empty, the hook turned back into the eel. Fixed eel and then got a 35in. Saw a few breaking fish on my way back. A buddy lost a slob.

where were you at in the canal

The big ones always get away.
