Click on the bookmark

You can click on the nautical chart tab on top

as your cursor moves over the water you can record GPS numbers.

Or you can see the nav photo

I just picked a random point in P-town near the water; the airport. You can use the arrows in the corners of the boxes to go up and down the east coast if you wish...

OH:smash:

I get it.

I thought you were referring directly to that spot. Like maybe you spotted fish breaking or something.

Yes, maptech is great, no doubt. Also good are the nav charts to on maptech to identify structure.

Maptech Ocean Navigator :D

You can get their software onto a GPS enabled palm type device and have all of that :)

I played with the palm version of it, I wasn't overly impressed unfortunately (got a couple palms sitting here that would have been PERFECT).

Rather just get a Garmin and the bluecharts.

I am in full agreement, likwid.

I have also tried the palm and was not impressed.

Palm Pilots weren't exactly made to be exposed to salt air/random dropping/etc.

But neither were laptops and most of the boats I've been on have them. :D

I have an Earthmate GPS that connects to my laptop's usb port. It's friggen awesome! I plan on using it at the Cape this fall. I bought a 24.99 convertor that plugs into the cig lioghter, and am working on a device to hold the laptop up near my right hand while navigating the beaches. I think i will be able to drive the beach during the day, stop at any interesting looking holes/structure, mark them on the screen and find them in the dark w/ no problem.

I am worried about what the salt air/moisture is going to do to the comp.....oh well, thats why I bought the bumper-to-bumper warranty:D
