size of this years stripers ?

I would like to know if anyone has noticed a substantial increase in the size of this years fish? In the seven trips out so far we have averaged larger fish, most over 40" and into the high 30lb. This is quite a bit larger than our usual catch.

I would have to say about the same or a little bit smaller than last year so far. I am having to work a little harder to find them this year also. Could be this weather we are having though. Had several 40lbs. plus fish last year and none so far this year. I fish C.C. Bay. P.M.

Larger than last year on the south cape. I think those big girls pushed into cape cod bay in a hurry last year, with the weird weather. This year has been much more consistent for fish 30lbs and up.

Generaly bigger off MHD. Avg length is about 6" more, and all are fatter than last year. Still no 30-40lbs - YET.
