Distance traveled to fish the Canal
 

I was just wondering what the distance people have traveled to get to the Canal. I drove 70 miles from Lowell last friday and my wife and a few of my pals thought I was nuts. I told them that the fishing up north has been slow for keeper size bass and I am sick of catching small fish.

I have not been out in a few weeks so I am jonsin' for a keeper!:af:

Im not sure.. I never measured it.. but I think its about 20 miles...

I'm about 30 min but I still have yet to fish there :smash: Too many good spots all over.

Its about 45 miles one way for me.

from my house, the canal is about 135 miles. :smash:

75-80 miles from Georgetown MA. and then I continued on to south cape beach for a couple of more hours. Had a day off w/ nothing to do

yup some where around 140 miles . its 2.25 to 2.5 hours . I fish it about a 9 times a year .

It's just a 20min ride from my place in Middleboro, MA to the Ditch. I am starting to hit the Ditch more often. Noticing I'm getting more action in the Ditch on Striped Bass than in Falmouth.

From my house to center span on the Bourne bridge is exactly 50 miles. There and back almost every friday night plus many other random days for the last 7 years from May to October.

About 1 1/2 hours depending on traffic.

199 miles to the bridge. But I usually stay on the Cape and I fish the ditch about 3-4 times per year.

11 minutes this morning from home.

i can ride my bike to the canal form my house in 20min takes 5min in a car i live by buttermilk bay i can see the RR bridge from my house i am in fishing heaven :D :D :D :D :happy: :happy: :happy:

Close to an hour for me now.

About 275 miles for me, but fishing the Canal is still on my to do list.

30-45 minutes. probably over 30 miles or so.

~30-35 minutes from my door until I'm reach bournedale herring run......

10 mins... rarely fish there *boat*

its 104 miles from door to fish. Not too bad i guess, have a girlfriend living in falmouth so i can crash there when im done. make it down there about twice a week depending on work, since i got laid of a couple weeks ago its a little more frequently right now :).

you are trying to tell us you got laid off right ? or just that when you last fished the canal and stopped at your girlfriends you got lai..................... how does your wife feel about falmouth ?

I will be heading down there more often as the fishing up north has slowed down from shore.

approx. 110 miles round trip, and worth every one!
