rigging eels

How do you guys rig dead eels. I was delaware a li'l while ago and some folks caught some eels, which I took of their hands. So how should I rig up these bad boys. I wanted to put them on a tin squid, but they are just a bout to heavy as is (+4ounces) I would like to rig them wirghtless, but would skin the and riggem on a jig or plug as a last resort.
How can you riggem wieghtless while still maintaining that "S" action. Thanks folks
