Snaped pull cord

CRAP :wall: My pull cord snaped on my johnson 9.9. Has anyone replaced one before? The shop wants 75.00 an hour. I'm pretty handy, and with a few pointers I should be able to do it myself.

I have one of the modern "Johnsons".......no pull cords you just rub it and it starts up!:laughs: :bl: :laugha: :hihi:

go to ace hardware.
buy "lawnmower" pullcord.
install.
if your handy, you can figure out the perfect length to make the pull-cord.
good luck.
mike:)
