how do you guys care for your rods after a day of fishing

i usually hose them off what are you methods?

After every use, I rinse down my gear w/ fresh water wipe dry & then aply WD-40 on all moving part's.

A few times during the season, and before you store them for the winter, you can give the rod blank a coat of cheap car wax (like Turtle Wax) and spray the guide frames with WD-40.

if you spray rod and reel together remember not to use a heavy spray on reel, it will drive dirt and salt inside, instead use a fine mist. and like mikep said wax rod a couple of times a year. if you take good care of your gear, it'll take good care of you.
