should i be fishing tonight? there is a report that a thunderstorm will occur at 6 and 9 PM tonight, after midnight, its going to rain. should i fish at the ditch or not?

beachwalker 08-12-2004 09:26 AM

use a hand line

Notaro 08-12-2004 09:29 AM

it means i better not to fish tonight, BW?

spence 08-12-2004 09:29 AM

Damn graphite :smash:

-spence

Notaro 08-12-2004 09:33 AM

that is going to bite.

spence 08-12-2004 09:38 AM

You can always fish. I've found the weather this time of year to be very unpredictable. Storms marching towards us seems to break and scatter very quickly.

Just use your head and quit at the first sign of thunder or lightening.

Notaro 08-12-2004 09:41 AM

Okay, I will do that. Thanks, Spence. Should I bring a rag or something to cover my rod and reel to avoid lighting? A rubber cover?

Definitly fishing tonite

Vectorfisher 08-12-2004 03:42 PM

Notaro what tide were you looking too fish???

lurch 08-12-2004 04:15 PM

Your killing me!!

The chance of you getting struck by lightning is extremely small!

I love to fish in the rain/storm because no one is there and the pressure on the fish is low.

Keep one on the rod tip and another in the sky.

Notaro 08-12-2004 10:52 PM

damn, i left the ditch. i had a fight with my gf on the pager and my mom needs the car. she wont be happy with the eels in the trunk.

BrianS 08-13-2004 04:59 AM

You didnt miss much.. we were like an hour or two too early.

I stuck around about another hour... Had at LEAST another hour till the tide changed...

Something grabbed my eel once... let it go....

I got eyed suspiciously by a large skunk and a larger possum..

Then when I was leaving I got to see the performance in the truck two spots down from where we were parked... Exhibitionism rocks. ;)

t.orlando 08-13-2004 11:33 AM

Shoulda stayed, 3 fish between 32 and 41in late
