35lb Bass on 30lb Boga

I was just thinking -I have a 30lb boga grip. What if the unthinkable happens and I catch a Bass larger than 30lbs? I need to document points for a contest. Can I add on another scale to make up the difference? Any ideas? Thanks.

I have used two 30lb boga grips to weigh heavy fish by combining the readings of both scales. It should work with a different type of scale as well.

In my book thats why a 30 lb Boga is a waste of money anything worth weighin is over 30 lbs.I won't spend the money on a 60 lb model. But after reading the posts on hooks in hands an remembering one of my own misfortunes I realize it is a usefull tool especially when wading or rock hoppin I think one day I'll get one.I know a friend of mine had some pretty bad ligament damages from a hook in hand connected to a gorilla blue.Thats why I like jigs.

PN,

If it's the contest I'm thinking about, you have to record the fish as a 30. You can only go up to the maximum reading of the scale.
