10%/ 90%
they say that 10% of fishermen catch 90% of the fish, ever hear this? believe it's true? why?.... i beleive it.
|
Yes and no. You see less experienced fishermen hammering the schoolies when they are available. I would not include them in the 10% category, but the number of fish they catch is high. That might not appeal to the 10% that are looking for a big fish. I'd actually rather catch just one 40 pound fish in five or six outings than catch a bunch of 20 pound fish each night.
|
Slap,
Id say that anyone who can catch a bunch of 20 pound fish each night is in the 10% of fishermen who catch 90% of the fish. And yes, I do think its true. |
Hmmm. I should mention that I fish from a boat (live in CT, there's no other way here), and therefore cannot be counted in the 10 or 90% group.
|
Come on Slap, you're cutting youself short. What's wrong with CT, and I think you make the 10%.
|
Slap -
Plenty of great spots to fish from shore in CT. Ice |
There are no fish in CT, shore or boat. Go away:)
|
Of course it's true, and there are many reasons for why depending on the individual in question. I think the main reasons for most would be long hours, hard work, determination, perseverance and good karma.
Oh, and brains don't hurt either.... |
my brain cavity always hurts , may be too hollow !
where is ct and where can you fish it ? |
10%/90% - without a doubt! Back when I was tournament LMB fishing the leaderboard almost always showed the same names at the top. No luck involved; technical skills, experience, time on the water , etc. will always prevail. I have actually put 5 in the boat while a partner was eating lunch and then had the same individual claim that the club officers (ME!) were scheduling events only on familiar waters! This past commercial season I actually lost 15 lbs. by forgetting to eat when the bite was on! Beats the Atkins diet!;)
