Nice wahoo....what are the 3 fish lying on the deck?

DaveS 08-22-2004 07:50 PM

Wahoo is hands down, the best eating fish in the ocean.

I would LOVE to catch one of those someday. I bet it would punish me as much a tarpon did.

I've never tried wahoo but I was thumbing thru Simon and Schusters guide to saltwater fishing and fishes, and was shocked that they simply list the wahoo as "edible". In fact, "edible" is their lowest rating for table fare. Pretty cool little pocket guide by the way folks. Makes for good "thumbing" when theres some down time at work.

DaveS is right.

Wahoo is dang fiiiine eatin' ah tell you what.

Caught a 38in wahoo last year down Key West. Had the hotel cook it up for us along with a few mahi... dems good eating too.

Came out 4 diff ways, Grilled, Jerk, tempura, and blackened.

Nice Fish!
