OK - I PROMISE - One Last Site Raffle for a while - Skinz Bags!!!

OK - I PROMISE, just this one last site raffle for a while. Courtesy of the guys and guys over at Aquaskinz, we have a NEW set of prizes for supporting S-B in a raffle. Kadir and Alberto donated for this raffle:

The BIG Surfbag: http://www.aquaskinz.com/images/BigSurfBag.jpg

The Small Surfbag: http://www.aquaskinz.com/images/smallsurfbagbig.jpg

The LARGE and SMALL Belt Pouches (gotta get ME some):

The Eel Bag & Large D-Ring and Small Swivel Clips
http://www.aquaskinz.com/images/eelbagsmall.jpg http://www.aquaskinz.com/images/dringsmall.jpg http://www.aquaskinz.com/images/clipsmall.jpg

All the product details are on their site: http://www.aquaskinz.com/
I'll need to figure up how much all this goes for but it must be about $300 for all of it.

Should we do it as a raffle and everyone can take some chances? Or as an auction? I plan to throw in 4 or 5 custom plugs that have been donated to me & the site just to sweeten the pot (and if anyone else wants to donate a plug :hihi: ) . Think I'll bring the bags to Plug Nite at MSBA this Weds....

:btu: Big Thanks to the guys over at Aquaskinz for the Gear!!!

disclaimer - plugs in pictures were PROMOTIONAL pictures from their site - THOSE PLUGS are not coming with the bags :laughs:

striperjerk1 08-23-2004 11:07 PM

I would think that a raffle is better for everyone . just my .02 cents. ;)

BasicPatrick 08-24-2004 12:15 AM

John,

I suggest that you do a raffle....Auctions shut out too many

looks like you could have seven prizes

MAC 08-24-2004 03:50 AM

raffle, like patrick said 7 prizes. I'll donate a plug tomorrow night for the bag also.

BEETLE 08-24-2004 04:47 AM

Ya - raffle is the way. :btu:

fishweewee 08-24-2004 05:50 AM

Crafty Angler 08-24-2004 06:54 AM

Raffle sounds like the way to go -

So where do I buy the winning tickets? :tooth:

Karl F 08-24-2004 06:57 AM

Yep, raffle, got a couple plugs in primer, when there done, I'll send them your way, to stuff in the bags.

Saltheart 08-24-2004 07:47 AM

I think a raffle lets everyone in on it.

I don't think there are seven prizes. I think some of the stuff goes together like the belts and the eel bag or something like tahta. If so , they should go togetehr as a prize. I may be wrong.

NilsC 08-24-2004 07:49 AM

Make it a raffle please, and make the tread sticky :) so we can find it...

:smash:

Saltheart 08-24-2004 08:01 AM

I made it sticky buit there are so many sticky thredas now it might be better to just leave it normal and keep bumping it up to the top????

JohnR 08-24-2004 08:13 AM

Maybe two prizes?

Big Bag, little pouch, clips - the consumate plugger?

Little Bag, Eel bag, Big Pouch, D-Ring - the mobile Eeeler?

First winner has choice of sets?

Motor Fish 08-24-2004 09:11 AM

I'd be happy to throw in a homemade plug as well. I'm just a beginning plug builder so there not the nicest plugs around, but if it sweetens the pot at all... I've got my first batch of 12 and another batch of 10 that were just sealed. I'll post pics of the latest batch when they're done. John, you can take your pick of any one you want.

Springtides 08-24-2004 11:16 AM

well, i'd say its a wrap. raffle hands down!

Megabyte 08-24-2004 11:41 AM

Raffle

2 or 3 "sets" of prizes as JohnR determines.

I got the winning ticket (oh that's from the last raffle I didn't win)

You should at least throw the 3rd place guy a bone. maybe a plug or 2.

chris L 08-24-2004 01:10 PM

why waste all the time of the members . just send one set to chrisL and one to laneC

splshnplug 08-24-2004 01:59 PM

i like the idea of a raffle. see ya at plug night

JohnR 08-24-2004 02:26 PM

OK then - maybe a 3rd prize of a couple three plugs.... :D

What should we charge for the tickets? Should I bring some to the MSBA meeting?

Bobbike 08-24-2004 03:21 PM

$2.00 each, 6 for ten

Bobbike 08-24-2004 03:22 PM

Don't think you should bring them to the meeting, we do have our Charity Raffle going on. Just my $.02

basswipe 08-24-2004 03:29 PM

Hey JohnR I noticed you changed your signature. Some people say rat tastes just like chicken.I ain't one of 'em but they do say that.:D

Megabyte 08-24-2004 03:34 PM

John's been hangin' around Clammer tooooooo looooong

them BLOOOOOOO_*&)*(^^%%^$#$#%(^(*&^(^%fish are gettin' to them.

SeaWolf 08-24-2004 04:14 PM

$20 per ticket. i hate getting an "arms length" for the same price and then trying to find my ticket. this way it's a fair, but worthy price and you can buy as many as you want.

nice donation kadir, alberto, and the rest.

JohnR 08-24-2004 04:35 PM

OK Bob - I will bring them tomorrow in case anyone wants to see them but no ticket sales... A couple of the Pms mentioned same raffle prices as before but I want to simplify.

2 for 10, 6 for 20 - keep the overall ticket count down :smash: :D

Thanks!

John

kippy 08-24-2004 05:32 PM

I like the idea of a raffle with 2 sets of prizes and a few plugs for 3rd..6 for $20 is a bargain compared to all the stuff you can win..
