Anyone been on Captain Johns recently?

Im going out tomorrow morning. One of my friends work has charted a boat for the day or something...

I dont really expect to catch much out of the way of sharks, but I thought I would ask to see if anyone has had any luck recently?

I am doing a stellwagon trip with them first week of october with my Dad.. I am more looking forward to that.. :)

You're right .....don't expect much other than dogs right now. maybe a couple small cod.

October much better

Well it was definitely a sharkfest...

Some guys were using worms.. so a few flounder were caught..

but the last spot we tried, several pretty nice cod were caught - all 8lbs - 12lbs

All I caught were some sharks and a sunburn... but thats ok..

We also saw "something" in the water.. It was big, and had a BIG blue fin.. I imagine it was a whale... It was pretty neat..

Hopefully my stellwagon trip with my Dad on Sept 25th will be a little better...

or next week on the continental shelf off myrtle beach.... (I want a red snapper or some amberjacks. hehe )

stay away from using bait,
although on a head boat it probably won't make a difference.
stick to jiggin.
