A question on Vineyard ferry

I have already booked for my Yukon to MV this month to fish the derby.

I listed my vehicle in the 16 ft. or below category, same as last year, no problems even though the truck is a tad over that.

I am hoping to build a 162 qt. cooler rack at work before I go, which will add another 2-1/2 ft (+ -) to the length.

Do you guys think they'll bust me on the additional length ????

Beetle-

I'd call them and ask, better to be on the safe side than let a problem at the terminal be a downer on vacation.

Sure they see lots of Buggies during the Derby!

i thought the max was 18 ft.

We take our work vans (10 ft cubes ) there quite often .they charge us a < 25 ft rate with 2 passegers $ 182.00 round trip. make sure you are at the dock a hour before

Thanks - I did not want to book for the length because getting the rack built in time is hit or miss.
Any one South of Boston here on the board do Heliarc welding on Aluminum ? I can Fab the parts at work but we don't have Heliarc welder
