Are you fishing by boat or beach?

There will be thousands of pods of bass all around that area now, especially if you are on a boat, you can chase them all over the place, it's good fun!

Hoop thanks I was thinking more on the beach though, days are getting shorter and having to pick up my son at daycare and all doesn't leave me much time to splash and dash before it gets too late. Do you live in that area, I went by Millway marine Saturday evening and looked at the 24 Mckee craft they have out there, looks like a really nice ride, probably well over 50k though:(

I live further down, in Yarmouth. But when I had my old boat on a trailer, my wife and i spent a lot of time in the Barnstable Harbor and Sandy Neck area fishing bass and fluke.

Guess Big Fish gives you your answer!

I do know that the beach in front of Horizon's Resturant in Sandwich can be very, very good this time of year. A good friend swears by it. Not too far rom Sandy Neck entrance....

I do understand fishing Sandy Neck from a boat can be good...but from the beach it is a slumber fest! I can't really explain why, it looks so good there?

I did find it kind of interesting that guys leave there poles on one side in the sand and they are on the other sitting in lounge chairs with beer in one hand and cheeseburger in the other.:D

Slip he is a tease. The real Bomber A-Salts work just as well. He won't give them up. He needs to feel superior or something and loves to see people beg. I bet he is into domination or something wierd like that. You know, leather, whips and chains. I think they call it M&M's or something like that.:D  :laughs:

Big Fish...do you mean the Sandy Neck in Barnstable MA...

You are my friend and I greatly admire your passion and zest for our sport. I am even more impressed by how far you have come in such a relatively short time. That being said...buddy...you are way off base. I think I know the group that shapes your impression of the neck but trust me, there have been very large caugt there for years, including this year.

BasicPatrick 09-07-2004 09:46 AM
