Seal

I was fishing in a spot this morning that has been producing regualrly. Was there about ten minutes when a big harbor seal popped up in front of me. I immediately packed it up and moved to a different spot.

Does the mere presence of a seal spook the stripers or should I have hung around to try to catch what the seal was trying to catch? This was a harbor area and there was lots of feed around which may have attracted the seal.

Well I have fished near them before and if there a lot of fish around they might leave you alone.
But sooner or later they are going to ruin your day and grab your fish!!
Most of the time like you I just move and hope they don't follow!

:nailem: :rocketem: :liquify: I think we should have a seal hunt!!

I know some of the best spots on the Cape you can catch seals...:smash: but I don't want to burn those spots!:smash:

I have had occasions when one seal, moving past me was not a problem....the problem was the other ten seals swimming along with him!:af:
