Sb Cod Trip

Who is willing to get toghter like we did last year and go Cod fishing??

We will all meet at a yet to be dertermined Ramp and head out for a day of cod.

Last year we had like 5 or 6 boats. Those with out boats that want to go can hook up with a member with a boat for the day. Cheaping in for expenses of coarse.

So who, where, and when do we want to go??

tlapinski 09-13-2004 08:05 AM

i would love to go. i am one of the "without boat" guys. i have most of the gear, though.

Notaro 09-13-2004 08:12 AM

I would like to go, but I don't have any cod setup. How far are we willing to go for whale cods?

mrmacey 09-13-2004 08:22 AM

Im In

But of course I need to hitch a ride this year.

Notaro 09-13-2004 08:27 AM

Surfcastinglife 09-13-2004 08:34 AM

mrmacey 09-13-2004 08:53 AM

Sold

macojoe 09-13-2004 09:37 AM

Ok well we will have to wait till some boat guys chine in here! Then we can see if we can set a date and start pairing people up.

I can do 2 people.

ThrowingTimber 09-13-2004 09:46 AM

No boat here either. Have some gear just need some of those giant jigs, can I just paint some cinder blocks? :D

BM said he'll go he likes nice soft rollers :laughs:

maddog2020 09-13-2004 11:23 AM

I'm another NON boat person, but I have LOTS of gear. :) I can outfit another couple of people if need be. ;) Plenty of big cod jigs.

I'll help pay for fuel. :)

I'm a non-smoker if that makes any difference. I've fished w/ plenty of people who do smoke so it doesn't matter to me.

I can fillet OK, too. (dry land only - too dangerous in a bouncing boat....LOL) ;)

Vectorfisher 09-13-2004 12:02 PM

I am in could fish 3 guys and myself comfortably, limited experience though have not been out there on a steady basis so have much to learn about locations.

BrianS 09-13-2004 12:24 PM

Love to.... (without boat guy)

missing link 09-13-2004 01:40 PM

me and dad are up for it... but our boat is allready full :(

Iwannakeeper 09-13-2004 02:28 PM

I'd love to....as another no-boat guy. Also no gear guy. But I do have cash and would be willing to pitch in on gas, soda, beer, food, whatever (within reason), maybe we could get some hooter girls to go...lol

Im dying for some fresh cod/haddock.

Vectorfisher 09-13-2004 03:29 PM

Maco did you miss a boat or forget how to count:smash: :D

likwid 09-13-2004 04:10 PM

If anybody wants some of the mega cod jigs (the 1" stainless tubing ones with lead in em) PM me, I make em. :D

Will make to your specs...

And trade for plugs. :D

Note: this were origionally made for electric reels and whatnot and weigh ALOT. (Way more than any jig you can buy at the store)
Especially tough on the arms.
But the rest of the rig is easy to make.
Just need 200lb mono, some teasers and an evening of boredom. :D

Raider Ronnie 09-13-2004 05:08 PM

I'll go,
When?:D

Notaro 09-13-2004 05:09 PM

Just wondering,
When was the trip last year and when are you guys planning for this year.
My suggestion would be next month (Oct)
LONG ride to get some good size fish now!
Ronnie
