Any one up for fishing death marches?

This might sound strange, but I'm trying to combine a little exercise and fishing.

I'm really starting to enjoy the walk-the-sandy beach-and-plug thing, if anyone is up for 5+ mile round trip walks in Rhody or the Cape, please let me know.

beachwalker 09-13-2004 11:34 AM

if thats your spin on it then I fish on devils island... :smash:

:laughs:

I have a camel who lugs all my crapola...:)

Just make sure you bring along a lot of water to drink to keep ya hydrated and leave the neoprenes at home. :)

When and where you plan on going - I'm nutz.... I don't mind doing a little walking and some fishing.

pm me FWW.

DaveS 09-13-2004 02:26 PM

Long walks produce large fish;) . I plan on taking one Thursday evening myself.

partsjay 09-13-2004 02:38 PM

basswipe 09-13-2004 05:01 PM

I'm bony as heck but I don't mind the walk.

rphud 09-13-2004 05:06 PM

I generally prefer the longer walks. Just got back from one in NJ (Hogate on LBI). I'm in CT as well, near Hartford. Tend to frequent the RI walks (Naps) more than the Cape walks (Truro, Nauset, Coast Guard), but I am usually up for either/any. Can do a bit of a walk/wade here in CT as well if you are interested. Was going tonight, but had to cancel out. May do it Tuesday AM or Wednesday PM depending. Let me know if and when and I will try to make it. Either or any of the places.

Iwannakeeper 09-13-2004 05:30 PM

WeeWee.....why don't you name a meeting place/date/time and then we can all show up?

Maybe M&D's for a meeting spot, load up on new tackle then hit the beach?

Isn't there a get together for one of the four legs this Sat. ? I think it is at M&D's anyway.

I'd love to go but my wife has other plans for me :( maybe if we get home in a reasonable amount of time, otherwise I'll be at the ditch sunday am.

Notaro 09-13-2004 05:33 PM

we all are meeting this saturday, IWK... oh boy
