Orvis waders-

does anyone have the new Clearwater Endura waders from Orvis??? I'm thinking about buying these and have not seen them in person...

anyone??

BigFish 09-13-2004 08:50 PM

I just bought a pair of Orvis (they came a couple days ago) the Silver Label stocking foot with seperate boot......they look sweet and comfy! I have had Hodgeman stocking foot waders and have been overall pleased with them, but I thought I would try another brand to see if I get longer life out of them. The Hodgemans generally last me about 3/4 of a season.:D

Bigfish, do you think that there is a big difference between the 2?? Its either hodgeman or orvis for me, although the LLBean ones have a full lifetime warranty... now that is tempting, but i've never seen anyone using them

Eben I was going to buy the LL Bean breathable bootfoot waders..seem reasonable and have a lifetime guarantee.

BigFish 09-13-2004 09:00 PM

I will let you know Eben, I am going to use them for the first time Thursday. They seem pretty similar in quality and construction.

How is that baby doing Eben?;) Its all good, isn't it!:D

spence I saw you liked the LL Bean waders so I'm going with those. You're still important around here..
:smash:

eban, I have the llbean breathable stocking foot. they "wicked" nice. They are really comfortable and have put in a lot of 6-8 hour days in them. I use the aquastealth boots. Equally as comfortable but I have run into a problem with them. I am going to be returning the boots, the stitching has come undone on the inseam of where the rubber sole meets the fabric on both boots.

BUT they do have a life time warrenty!!:D

Nebe 09-13-2004 09:30 PM

funny my boots are coming unstiched too:huh: I think you have to get the boots 2 sizes too big so your not stretching out the seams..

hmmm maybe i will go with the beans.....:smash:
Spence your not chopped liver, your a liberal.:laughs:
* I really really wish teh bean waders had a studded aqua stealth sole... then I would be in heaven:(

kippy 09-13-2004 09:46 PM

has anyone tried the white river waders available through bass pro? ll bean bootfoot was sold out in my size...

Nebe 09-13-2004 09:48 PM

heres another question about Orvis waders.. are the studded felt soles replacable?? I mean if I wear the studs out, is there a way to put in new studs?/ it says nothing on the website about this-

kippy 09-13-2004 09:50 PM

I havent seen this much talk about waders in awhile..
:smash:

Nebe 09-13-2004 09:54 PM

waders are very important... especially now when its starting to get cold...

spence 09-14-2004 06:41 AM

I don't know if anyone makes a studded boot any more. I'd get the boots one size larger, not two. Eben you just need to get used to wearing korkers :smash:
