FINAL SOLICITATION OF PUBLIC COMMENT

REGARDING REVIEW OF MASSACHUSETTS

OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT



The Environmental Law Enforcement Review Panel and the Management Assistance
Team (MAT) of the International Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies is
conducting a comprehensive review regarding the operations of the Office of
Law Enforcement (Massachusetts Environmental Police). The group is planning
to issue a final report with recommendations to the Secretary of the
Executive Office of Environmental Affairs in late October. The panel and
consultant are interested in any and all comment from the public.



The panel has held several meetings and MAT has held focus group meetings
and individual interviews with constituents, Environmental Police, and other
employees from the state environmental agencies. The panel recently held an
open public meeting as well. The panel would like to remind Massachusetts'
citizens that public comment is being accepted through Friday, September
24th. Please send written comment to the address or website below:
