too much work and no fishing makes Mike a loose cannon

BigFish 09-21-2004 05:25 PM

MikeT....where are those plugs?

Motor Fish 09-21-2004 05:41 PM

Always! I've got another batch in the works. This is so addicting, I come in every night covered in sawdust and smelling like cedar. There will be pictures when done.

I'm sick of using screw eyes. I'm waiting on a chuck to show up in the mail so I can through drill this batch.

Still looking for a local source for wire. Any ideas?

Also, brad point drill bits . . . know where I can find some?

MikeTLive 09-21-2004 05:42 PM

hows this?

My yellow Surf Howdy is red hot! I have not fished another plug from my skiff in the last week. Yesterday was incredible! Even Albies are hitting it. ( BTW Steve, nice work, luv the mottled blue howdy):btu:

capesams 09-22-2004 05:37 AM

Txs..flap...I just need to find a way to get the blending of the 2 colors abit better..they need to be more oblong than round.

BigBo 09-22-2004 05:48 AM

Capesams, that jointed eelskin needle is like sexual intercourse for my eyes! :humpty:
Very nice!

capesams 09-22-2004 05:58 AM

Capesams....thanks for the treat:drool: I am a huge fan! Those are some sweet plugs!:eyes: I could look at your work for hours, that was quite a fix!:D

Question.....those Surf Howdys look to be about 8 inches long? Is that long for a Surf Howdy? Also, how are those weighted?

capesams 09-22-2004 06:29 AM

BF...those can b as big or small as u want to make them..never had a howdy in my hands so I wouldn't know what size bernzy's is.

weighted in the azz an a shot abit midships.

BigFish 09-22-2004 06:34 AM

Thanks CS....always there to answer my questions and I appreciate it!;) I was just noticing the length not being critical.:)

RIROCKHOUND 09-22-2004 06:36 AM
