What do I do with all my 1/2 Storms?
I have been having great luck with Storm Wild Eye Swim Shads. Problem is the blues have taken half of about 25 of them. The hooks are still flawless. Some hooks were never touched 'cause the blue ripped off the swim plug. Anyone have any ideas about what to do with the head and hook? I am thinking about threading them with rubber eels.
Police your frags. |
Here's what I do. Take the rubber off the hook/leads. Now, take one of the bait holder corkscrew looking things that screw into the bait and hook onto the hook. Take a nice slug-go, 6" work nicely on the smaller ones. Place the corkscrew thingy into the head of a slug-go then attach to the eye of the hook. Now take the body and hook the slug-go, kind of like texas rigging in freshwater.
I use this on the beaches, dragging them along the bottom. Killer! |
Thanks for the tip, Bob. I will pick up some Slug-go today...:)

I have used them chopped in half and they still work. Reel them fast and the body vibrates. Try it, especially for the blues.
