Canal Tonight?
 

Anyone going? I am thinking of heading down for 3:30 or 4. Got my eels and looking for fish.

no eels (bait store was closed early..) but ill be there about 4am I think...

no eels makes me sad though...

ah well.. pikies or poppers it is.

Stock up on 9" sluggos then you will always have a fallback plan when you can't get the eels. They don't go bad. Or you could get some Ledgerunners. The 13" black megajerks look a lot like an eel.

I plan on trying to get to the ditch sometime tonight, probably late night. I know I can't go down there @3or4am though. I have to be in Boston by 8am and that is not a fun ride in morning traffic.... But I got eels :happy:
I am hoping to catch it just before the swing, lookin for that 40#...It could happen, just like the BOSOX- you gotta believe :smokin:

hey BJS, I will be down there earlier until I dunno what time, you can have whatever eels I have left (if there are any):hihi: no problem for me gettin more, I live a cast away from the bait store...just an offer.....from one fisherman to another :cool:

I have been buying 8 eels.

feeding 6 eels to 6 blues is worthy pennance to catch keepers with the other two.. :)

Ditto on they are worth it, and I always get a good laugh when I get a hit and reel in a snubbed cigar :hihi:
And again I am feelin a good night comin, then again whenever I get a chance to sling a few I feel like it is gonna be my night...:laughs:

God I know that feeling.. Real close to blowing off work tonight (well second job type work) and just going out there..

but i think ill be good.. and wait till tomorrow night..

I didn't do a seach. How do you fish eels at the ditch?

How do you weight them to get them down in that current?
