skunked on the merrimack

Was on the Merrimack 1/2 hour before high tide sat. morning.Fished through the night till 11:30 in the morning. No bass ,but plenty of blues outside the mouth after sunup. Fished eels & chunk herring on the bottom, trolled swimmers & tube & worm rig .
WHERE DID I GO WRONG!

Frustrated on the Merrimack!:(

clams are key there. all youll catch is schoolies, but theyre still fish.

worms too.

The fish have not been so cooperative in the river lately. I have heard that guys soaking clams on the Plum Island front side have been doing ok. Also soak some sea worms. I was there last weekend and didn't see any one catch either.

Also the best times are 2 hours before and after low tide.
