sun screen??
 

Someone told me that the scent from sunscreen turns fish off, is this true? If so what should you use to get rid of the scent? The sanitizer wipes like the little wet naps you get at restaurants sometimes, or is that just adding another smell that turns off fish? Any input appreciated:(

in my experience, it does. wash your hands thoroughly after applying, taking care not to touch your bait, line or lures afterwards.

What if say you are on a party boat and no access to water, (happened to me last time, faucet in bathroom didn't work) is there something I can use (alcohol??) to minimize the damage....

I agree with fish pee, I always try to pay special attention not to get anything on the line,plugs, and terminal tackle. Bass and fish for that matter like to test their prey before s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& it down. I usually try to carry the waterless soap stuff, it is almost all alcohol so it evaporates very quickly with little to no scent...Who really knows, but I figure anything I can do to increase my odds I will try..ya know :kewl:

if your on a party boat just throw a rag over the edge on your hook. never a shortage of water out there.
