surf howdy and livelined baby pogies

Amazing blitz this morning 4 am to noon non stop action, best part it was 98% BASS. It was all fueled by baby pogies. My new surf Howdy needs to be retired it is so beat up. The bass were committing suicide on this plug sometimes wacking it 2-3 ft out of the water. Having some fun I brought my bait net along and netted and live lined some baby pogies and had great success doing this as well. One of those rare, great to be alive days in the surf. My hands need first aid now, the only downside. Bass thumb never hurt so good.

Just put 1-3 pogies on a 6/0 -8/0 hook , and cast out into the blitz and reel it in real slow. It was working great the other day when blues and bass were running bait up on the rocks.

I used a 6/0 hook and tried to cull out the largest baby pogie I could find, hook through the top of the back and let swim, didnt take long after that. Funny thing about this blitz no fish were showing all day but they were stacked up like cord wood in the white water. If you didnt hook up you would of never know they were there.
